Designing and building puppets is one of the great joys of being a puppeteer. You get to conceive of a wild character, figure out how best to create it, and when it works out, tailor it to your body and perform it yourself, or design it to another puppeteer’s needs. I love creating characters with the performers very firmly in mind for maximum efficiency of technique and character.
